Synchronization with Brain API

What does this module do?

If you work with a Brain supplier and are tired of manually updating products, prices, and balances, this module solves the problem once and for all. It becomes a full-fledged bridge between Brain and your OpenCart store: new items appear independently, prices are updated on schedule, photos are uploaded automatically. You do business, and the system takes care of the routine.

The module is especially convenient for dropshipping and working with large catalogs - even several thousand products are synchronized without overloading the server and without stopping the site.

Main features

• Automatic product creation — new Brain items appear in the store independently: with a description, photo, attributes, and categories.
• Updating prices and balances — works on a schedule or with one click in the admin panel, without stopping the site.
• Flexible category mapping — map Brain categories to any store categories. New categories can be created automatically or manually.
• Image uploads — all product photos are stored on your server. WebP conversion is supported for maximum page loading speed.
• Attributes and filters - product characteristics are imported into OpenCart attributes and filters, compatible with Ocfilter and similar.
• SEO URL auto-generation — the module automatically builds human-like links based on the selected template. Existing URLs are not overwritten.

When creating or synchronizing products, the module automatically generates SEO-friendly addresses using one of three templates:

If the product already has an SEO URL, the module does not touch it. If the names match, a numeric suffix is automatically added: router-asus-1 , router-asus-2 , etc.

Flexible pricing

• Price source selection: recommended retail or dealer (UAH or USD).
• Automatic currency conversion with the exchange rate of the NBU, PrivatBank or Monobank.
• Markup as a percentage, fixed amount or formula for price ranges: (0–100)+5%, (100–500)+60, (500–999999)+10% .
• Separate allowance rules for each category + global fallback rule.
• Safety stock threshold: if there are less than N units in stock, the site shows 0.
• Minimum price filter and import only in-stock items.

Automation and Cron

Synchronization is divided into three independent steps — this eliminates timeouts and excessive server load:

1. Price list loading (once every 1–12 hours) — Brain-price is stored on the server in the background, the site does not load.
2. Price and stock updates (every 30 minutes) — reads a local file and instantly updates the database without network requests. Hundreds of products — in seconds.
3. Full synchronization (once a day, at night) — updates descriptions, attributes, images, adds new products. Multi-threaded launch (2–3 threads) is supported.

Supported launch methods: direct CLI call, cPanel / ISPmanager, Web trigger.

Quick start - 3 steps

1. Install via Extensions → Installer — download .ocmod.zip via the standard OpenCart installer, then click "Refresh".
2. Enter the API key and configure the categories — Brain login and password in the "Settings" tab, then "Categories → Sync Categories" and mapping to store categories.
3. Start the first synchronization — "Start Manual Sync" in the "Products" tab, or set up Cron right away.
